Last two shopping trips.....

So I'm pretty glad that I started to Grocery Game again. My first trip, I went with a list & actually stuck to it! I spent about $120 on food for the week, but I saved $70! What a huge savings! I got so much stuff last week , that I didn't need to buy as much this week and only spent $59.00, saved about $30. in coupons! Not bad at all! Too bad I didn't feel good all day today and never made it out for the papers.

What happened to my relaxing Saturday?!

I had it planned, I would get up early (as usual) , make the kids sausage, egg & cheese on some grands biscuits and kick back for a few minutes with my cuppa coffee. (I make the kids abig warm breakfast every weekend since they are home from school.) Well, that past of it went okay but the rest of the day did not. Worst of it was my car. I went to pick my daughter up from the salon where she was getting an up-do done on her hair for the dinner she was going to tonight & just as I made the turn into the parking lot entrance, my van came to a stop. Thank God I was far enough into the parking lot that my car was not sticking out into the road! Guess I was needing new struts, 'cause that's what hubby told me when he came to get me & the baby. I don't understand why my front passenger tire is bent inward though, but I'm not a mechanic. So, I had to get it towed. More money gone! Ugh!
Needless to say, tomorrow I will be at home!

... after thought.
Trying to find the good in all of this.
1-I am grateful that happened with the car in a safe place & that the baby & I are okay.
2-I'll have new struts on the car very soon!
3-I have to walk to get the Sunday newspapers tomorrow since I want the coupons! LOL! (good exercise!)

Hi everyone, my name is Kathy. I've been wanting to blog for quite some time now, so here I am! I stumbled upon this blog called My Little Life & liked it so much, that I decided to jump right in! I hope to meet other moms by blogging & look forward to reading other blogs. I was so impressed with the blog that I mentioned, with her couping using The Grocery Game, that I decided to get my butt back in gear with it myself today! Thank you if you see this! I didn't do nearly as good as she did, but I'm sure I will , as using coupons (even this particular way) is nothing new to me. :)
